Primarypurpose is about the continuous endeavour to improve as teachers, collaborators, innovators and creators. As a teacher, I have over thirty years of experience in primary classrooms. I have worked in the role of teacher, assistant principal and deputy principal. I have been fortunate to work in both public and independent schools. I have written syllabus documents in collaboration with educational authorities and developed policies and procedures across a range of curriculum primary areas.
I have always achieved the best outcomes for my students in collaboration with my colleagues and the students themselves.
Primarypurpose aims to reveal the work behind the achievement; the professional readings and learning, the collaborations, the deliberate practise and the metrics of improvement. It aims to make transparent the challenges and the barriers, and document the systems, processes and strategies that enabled improvement, and gave agency to the teachers who drive growth in their practice on a daily basis.
